The three-day long Grand National festival went underway at the Aintree racecourse on Thursday, April 3, with its main event slated to take place on Saturday.
Racing fans from various parts of the UK as well as other regions reached Aintree to witness the opening day races live as it promoted new talent in horse racing.
Manifesto Novices' Chase (Grade 1) - Impaire Et Passe (9/4) defeated Gidleigh Park and Jango Baie to secure victory in the first race of the Aintree's Grand National festival.
Boodles Anniversary 4-Y-O Juvenile Hurdle - Murcia (11/4) beat Live Conti and Puturhandstogether (Cheltenham Festival winner) to clinch victory.
Aintree Bowl Chase (Grade 1) - Gaelic Warrior (11/4) won the race, leaving behind Grey Dawning and Stage Star
William Hill Aintree Hurdle (Grade 1) - Lossiemouth secured a victory after Constitution Hill fell for the second time in succession.
Foxhunters' Open Hunters' Chase - Gracchus De Balme won the chase even after Jet Place made a move post the last fence.
Close Brothers Red Rum Handicap Chase - Sans Bruit remained at the first spot, followed by Calico.
Goffs Nickel Coin Mares' Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race - Result awaited

Owned by Rich Ricci, the four-year-old horse was trained by Willie Mullins. After struggling to get past the third hurdle, the horse suffered a shocking fall at the sixth one, with authorities stating that his injuries were fatal.
Blackmore was provided urgent medical attention after the incident.
The second day event kick starts at 1:45 PM BST and will go on till 5:15 PM. This will be followed by the Grand National race on Saturday at 4 PM (local time).
Among other events scheduled for the final day include William Hill Top Price Guarantee Handicap Hurdle, Turners Mersey Novices' Hurdle (Grade 1), William Hill Freebooter Handicap Chase, Liverpool Hurdle, Maghull Novices' Chase (Grade 1) and Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race.

Grand National 2025: Horse dies
Willy De Houelle passed away after suffering a fatal fall during the second race at the tournament on Thursday. The horse of Rachael Blackmore suffered a brutal fall during the Boodles Anniversary 4-Y-O Juvenile Hurdle, while the Irish jockey is said to be fine after being taken to hospital in an ambulance.Owned by Rich Ricci, the four-year-old horse was trained by Willie Mullins.
