Amitabh Bachchan is one of the well-known actors in Bollywood. The megastar has been ruling the industry for the last six decades. While Big B has been a part of some hit films there was a movie that was turned down by Amitabh but later it became a cult classic hit and even earned 8 Oscars. Yes you read that right! The movie we are talking about was made for Rs 124 crore and turned out to be a huge hit earning Rs 3145 crore at the box office.
The movie featured some of the big names from the industry and some new faces too. Late actor Irrfan Khan was one of them. If you are wondering which film we are talking about then the movie here in discussion is none other than Slumdog Millionaire.
Directed by Danny Boyle Slumdog Millionaire garnered massive attention because of its name. The movie was embroiled in massive controversies and the public were up in arms. However despite many controversies the film proved to be a blockbuster and earned Rs 3145 crore at the box office.
Coming to Amitabh Bachchan he was given the role of Prem Kumar. However Big B turned it down and later the role was passed on to Anil Kapoor. Not just Amitabh Bachchan the role was also offered to Shah Rukh Khan. However King Khan also turned down the film. Apart from Kapoor the movie also featured Irrfan Khan Dev Patel Freida Pinto and Madhur Mittal.
This is not the only film but Amitabh has also turned down movies like Mr India Koi Mil Gaya Qurbani Mission Kashmir Ishq and others.
