Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has struck by a heartbreaking loss today as her mother Kim Fernandez passed away after being hospitalised due to a stroke. This tragic news has left Jacqueline and her family in lifetime of pain. The team of Jacqueline Fernandez has released an official confirmation on X (formely known as Twitter). The funeral and last rites are expected to be held privately with close friends and family in attendance. May her soul rest in peace!#JacquelineFernandez — Team Jacqueline Fernandez (@TeamJaquelinee) April 6 2025 On March 24 Jacqueline Fernandez’s mother Kim was admitted to the ICU at Lilavati Hospital following a heart stroke. As soon as she heard the news Jacqueline rushed back to be with her ailing mother. The actress was frequently spotted at the hospital staying close to her mother during the difficult time. A source close to Jacqueline Fernandez’s mother had earlier stated that the actress was expected to perform at the IPL ceremony on March 26 in Guwahati. However the actress decided to opt out of the event to stay with her mother who was recovering in the ICU. Speaking to Hindustan Times the source said Jacqueline’s mother is still in the ICU recovering. As the family awaits further updates from the doctors Jacqueline has chosen to be by her mother’s side and unfortunately will be missing performing at the IPL ceremony. Back in 2022 as well Jacqueline’s mother Kim had suffered a stroke and was admitted to a hospital in Bahrain for treatment. Kim resides in Manama Bahrain and belongs to a multicultural background with Malaysian and Canadian heritage. Her maternal grandfather hailed from Canada while her great-grandparents were from Goa India.
