For joint planning of travel on Namo Bharat Train and Metro Train route, National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has introduced Journey Planner in Namo Bharat Connect App.
With this feature, passengers can buy separate tickets for both the train modes on a single payment on a single digital platform. For example, if someone has to travel from Meerut South to Rajiv Chowk in Delhi, then the passenger will have to enter the name of the starting and destination station in the journey planner feature of the app.
On doing this, the app will tell you that you have to get off the Namo Bharat train at Anand Vihar, from there you can take the metro's blue line and reach Rajiv Chowk. If the passengers want, they can get separate QR code based tickets for Namo Bharat and metro train on a single payment. Till now, separate payments had to be made for buying tickets. To plan the journey, the routes also had to be seen separately
NCRTC officials said that this feature suggests smart routes for travelling between one station and another. Passengers can get information about the fastest and most efficient route along with estimated travel time and suggested interchanges.
This feature allows booking of tickets for both Namo Bharat and Metro simultaneously on a single platform. This will save passengers from the inconvenience of booking separate tickets for both modes by visiting two different apps. They can see the estimated fare of the entire journey on the Namo Bharat app itself and make payment through UPI, debit or credit card or internet banking.
