Currently operating in secondary schools, Project Praveen will now also be applied at institutes of higher learning. The Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission will be used to provide pupils real-world skills. To enable this growth, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Higher Education Department and the Skill Development Mission is anticipated to be inked shortly.
Secondary schools now provide 90-minute skill development training sessions to students in classes 9 through 12. Experts from authorized training provider businesses lead these courses, often using local ITI workshops where necessary.
Colleges and universities will now start offering comparable training packages. Students will get instruction in skills including fashion design, electronics, automobiles, and information technology. Each institution will include specialized skill development facilities where students may enroll in certificate programs in addition to their normal academic program.
These facilities will provide students the chance to investigate their training alternatives, enabling them to confidently move toward independence and work. Through this program, the government hopes to improve students’ skill sets and prepare them for the workforce while they continue their studies.
