Waqf Bill: After the passing of the Waqf Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, protests are being held by Muslims in many states. Objectionable statements are being made by many Maulanas and Imams. Amidst all this, the atmosphere has become heated due to the controversial remarks of a Mufti in Aligarh.
In fact, Mufti Akbar Kazmi in Aligarh has said that this bill is not acceptable to Muslims. If the government does not withdraw this bill, then the situation like 1947 will arise in the country. Speaking at a street meeting on Friday, Mufti Akbar Kazmi said that the central government will have to withdraw this bill. On the other hand, people of Hindu organizations are enraged by this comment of Mufti. People of Bajrang Dal and BJP camp have filed a complaint against Mufti in Delhi Gate and Rorawar police station. Demand is being made for his arrest.
According to the new bill, the owner of the property will be able to appeal to the Revenue Court, Civil Court or other High Court in addition to the Tribunal. An appeal can be made in the High Court against the decision of the Waqf Tribunal. Unless someone has donated the property to the Waqf, it will not be a Waqf property. Even if a mosque is built on that property. 2 women and 2 members of other religions can be appointed in the Waqf Board.
