Delhi Metro three coach train : Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is ready to start the country's first metro corridor. It was designed for operating with three coach trains on Lajpat Nagar-Saket G Block Marg. According to reports, DMRC said in a statement that a part of Phase-IV of the Delhi Metro project, this corridor would extend to eight kilometers and the second smallest in the network.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) says that running trains with less coaches on small routes will not only save expenses, but passengers will also get a big benefit.
Officials said that the purpose of this line is to increase the final mile connectivity and ensure uninterrupted interchange with the existing corridor. Unlike other metro lines operating with four, six or eight coaches, the new corridor will use three coach trains, especially developed for a short distance urban journey. This will be a big relief for those traveling daily.
Beneficial for electricity and environment
Having a small train means that there will be less electricity in every round. This will not only save DMRC money, but will also reduce the environment. This step will make Delhi Metro financially sustainable as well as make a better option of eco-friend transportation.
There is not much crowd in the Peak Hour on this corridor. About 300 passengers can travel in a coach, that is, 900 people will be able to go in a three -coach train. Small trains will be available quickly, which will reduce the crowd on the platform and the passengers will get a chance to travel comfortably. This will be especially beneficial in densely populated areas of South Delhi.
These corridors will be ready by 2029. In such a situation, people will have to wait at least 4 years to travel in a 3 -coach metro.
