The lives of Bollywood celebrities might appear quite fascinating but it is far from what we see. One actress whose life reflected the same was Laila Khan. Born as Reshma Patel in 1978 she faced a heartbreaking end. According to reports the actress was murdered by her stepfather and passed away on January 30 2011. Laila Khan starred with Rajesh Khanna in the 2008 film Wafa: A Deadly Love Story. After the film flopped the actress got married to Munir Khan who was a member of the banned terrorist group. In 2011 it came out that the actress and her family have been killed. On January 30 2011 Laila Khan’s family—including her mother siblings and cousin—left Mumbai for a vacation in their hometown Igatpuri. A few days later her mother told a relative over the phone that she was in Chandigarh with her husband Pervez Iqbal Tak. Following that no one heard about the family again. Lailas father filed a missing persons report and requested that the investigation into his daughter’s case should be handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) stating that the Crime Branch was not making enough progress. Lailas stepfather Parvez Iqbal Tak and Asif Asif Sheikh both were suspected to have links with terrorist groups were named in the case. Tak who was arrested by the Jammu and Kashmir police later confessed that Laila Khan and her family were killed in Maharashtra but later changed his statement and claimed that they were still alive. Eventually Parvez total Mumbai Crime Branch that he planned to kill Laila Khans mother as well as admitted murdering Laila and her family. He revealed that he buried their bodies behind Lailas bungalow in Igatpuri. During the investigation Asif also confessed that he helped Tak in the killings. During the investigation police found six buried bodies near the bungalow confirming that it was Laila and her family.
