The Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission (UPSDM) will investigate job openings for young people in developing industries, including entertainment, electronic media, and civil aviation. To get young people ready for big forthcoming projects like Jewar Airport and Film City in Noida, special skill training would be offered. The objective is to assemble “ready-to-work” teams of talented young people who can help with these significant advancements.
There are plans to make Film City and Jewar Airport the state’s next major employment centres. Film City would serve as a stimulant for the expansion of the entertainment sector, while Jewar Airport alone is anticipated to provide almost one lakh employment possibilities. Young people will be prepared to succeed in both technical and creative jobs via specific training in media and production.
Individuals between the ages of 14 and 35 are eligible for free training under the Skill Development Mission. Approximately three lakh adolescents are trained annually by more than 2,800 training facilities spread across the state.
14,13,716 young people obtained training between 2017 and 18 and March 2025; 5,66,483 of them were able to find jobs. By training students to actively participate in the state’s expanding businesses, this programme seeks to match Uttar Pradesh’s young with the needs of the labour market in the future.
