UIDAI Aadhaar New App: In today's time, the Aadhaar card is a very important document. From getting a new SIM card to booking flights and hotels, you need an Aadhaar card. But sometimes keeping an Aadhaar in physical form or keeping a photocopy of it with you is a very troublesome task. To overcome these problems, UIDAI launched a new app, with the help of which you will be able to avoid the hassle of keeping Aadhaar card in physical form with you. Let us know what will change for you in this new app.

1. Now Aadhaar verification is as easy as UPI payment

IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the new Aadhaar app will now confirm identity through QR code scan and face ID - like we make UPI payment by scanning QR code.

2. Need for physical Aadhaar card or photocopy is no longer required

Now there will be no need to show paper Aadhaar at places like hotels, airports, train ticket checking. Identity will be confirmed by just scanning the QR code.

3. Aadhaar QR codes will be available everywhere

Just like every shop or payment point has a UPI QR code, Aadhaar QR code will soon be installed at every "point of authentication".

4. Real time verification will be done by face scan

Face authentication technology has been added to the new app, through which identity can be confirmed instantly by scanning a person's face - this process will be real time and completely digital.

5. You will now have complete control over Aadhaar data

The user will decide himself how much information he wants to share for which services. Only necessary data will be shared from the app, that too with the permission of the user.

6. Get rid of fake or edited Aadhaar cards

This app will be able to prevent any kind of fake Aadhaar identity, photoshopping or fraud as the data will be directly linked to UIDAI's system and the user's device.

7. 100% digital and secure experience

The Aadhaar app is completely digital, secure and consent-based. That is, no one can see the user's data unless he gives permission.

8. More than 15 crore face authentications every month

UIDAI said that face authentication technology is being adopted rapidly and it is being used more than 15 crore times every month.

9. The app is currently in beta testing

Currently this app is in beta version and is available to only a few selected users, but very soon it will be launched for everyone.

10. UIDAI's goal: Ensuring both privacy and convenience

UIDAI said that this app will empower Aadhaar holders to digitally verify their identity, without the hassle of any paper, scans or photocopies.
