Staying true to Cenas style the post had no caption it was just the image. This wasnt the first time Cena shared a picture of Kohli but the timing made it feel particularly significant.
On the pitch Kohli has had a solid beginning to his IPL 2025 season. With 164 runs from four matches including two well-paced half-centuries the 35-year-old remains a key figure at the top of RCB’s batting lineup. Even more notably the team has managed to shift its story this year.
After years of fluctuating form RCB now finds itself firmly in the top half of the standings with three wins out of four including historic triumphs – snapping a 17-year winless streak in Chennai and ending a 10-year win drought at the Wankhede.
A major factor behind this revival is a revamped bowling attack. The addition of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood has strengthened the pace department while Krunal Pandyas rise as the lead spinner has provided the team with greater balance. Once known for being a batting-heavy side RCB now boasts a more complete squad sparking belief among fans that this could be the year they finally break their title drought.
