The deleted posts included images from Tien’s appearance at the brand’s New York Fashion Week show in Sept. 2024, where she gained attention as the only Vietnamese representative at the event.
Earlier this month, Dior also removed Tien’s photos following the controversy surrounding her alleged involvement in misleading advertising for Kera Supergreens Gummies, a fiber supplement.
Tien announced her collaboration with influencers Pham Quang Linh and Nguyen Thi Thai Hang to promote Kera Supergreens Gummies in Dec. 2024. She shared the product on her Facebook page, claiming that “a gummy contains a dish’s worth of vegetables,” marketing it as a nutritious snack for all ages.
However, after a customer tested the product at the Quality Assurance and Testing Center 2 and discovered discrepancies between the advertised and actual ingredients—specifically, the 30-gummy box contained only 0.51 grams of fiber, far less than advertised—public backlash ensued. In response, Tien removed the posts from her social media.
The Ho Chi Minh City Food Safety Department, at the request of the Ministry of Health’s Food Safety Department, then conducted a product test for Kera Supergreens Gummies. The test confirmed that while the sugar, protein, fat, and energy content matched the product’s official self-declaration, the packaging failed to mention fiber content, despite the product being marketed as a fiber supplement. Authorities determined that the product was “counterfeit.”
Following the investigation, Tien, Linh, and Hang were summoned for questioning. All three admitted to providing misleading information about the product. Linh and Hang were each fined VND140 million (US$5,426) for false advertising, while Tien was fined VND25 million for not disclosing that her social media posts about the product were sponsored, which violated advertising regulations.
The Dak Lak Provincial Police announced that Tien has been temporarily banned from leaving Vietnam from March 15 to May 15 as part of the ongoing investigation.
At 26, Tien made history as the first Vietnamese contestant to win the Miss Grand International title.
