Damoh's Fake Cardiologist Case: Camm's Another MBBS Degree Come To Light

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): One more MBBS degree of Dr Narendra Yadav alias N John Camm has come to light though his master in medicine (MD) and doctorate in medicine (DM) degrees have has been found fake, said Damoh police on Wednesday.

The Damoh police had arrested the doctor from Praygraj on Monday for producing fake educational degrees at a Mission Hospital in Damoh. He had performed heart surgeries that killed seven patients at Mission Hospital. Earlier, he had submitted his MBBS degree in the hospital, which was found to be of a doctor of Varanasi.

Now, he has presented a new MBBS degree obtained from North Bengal Medical College, Darjeeling. The police are trying to check the facts from the college. “The documents pertaining to MD and DM (cardiology) from medical colleges of southern India seemed suspicious.

Also, Andhra Medical Council licence number 153427 rendered to the hospital by Camm in Damoh, actually doesn’t exist, which clearly suggests that he is not just a fake cardiologist, but also a fake doctor,” a police officer who is part of the investigation said. After his arrest, the accused had uncovered many facts related to the case. The police are trying to verify the statements given by the doctor.

From Narendra Yadav to .. From 1999 to 2006, he visited Germany, USA and the United Kingdom. In one of the countries, he faced “racist atrocities”. So, he named himself as Dr N John Camm. He used this name because it is the name of a famous cardiologist in the UK.

Chicken craving led to jail

The accused was on run and the police was behind him. The accused had switched off his mobile phone, which made it difficult for police to trace him. But every time he switched on the mobile phone, he would call on a specific number and switch it off again. The police reached the owner of the number, a restaurant operator.

The latter told the police a doctor had given the order of chicken curry and was mounting pressure to supply it fast. After receiving the address, the policeman knocked the door as a parcel supplier and arrested the accused.
