Agra Metro Expansion: The Metro project in Agra is progressing swiftly. By August 2025, metro trains would begin to travel up to RBS and Khandari, according to authorities. However, as construction on that section is still underway, commuters moving towards ISBT and Sikandra would have to wait a bit longer.

The construction of the stations and lines has been accelerated by the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC). Beginning in August, travellers will be able to use the metro from Mankameshwar to RBS and Khandari. In the future, trains will stop and park at ISBT station. According to a report by Amar Ujala, the metro would be extended to Sikandra in the next phase, with completion anticipated by March 2026.

Metro Expansion in Agra: 13 Stations The Agra Metro’s initial corridor is expected to contain a total of 13 stations, according to project director Arvind Rai. Trains are now running on the first six stops between Mankameshwar and Taj East Gate. According to rumours, the final section up to RBS will open in August.

The completion of the metro stations at RBS, Raja Ki Mandi, and Agra College is now in progress. The last phase of the tunnel project connecting SN Medical College and Mankameshwar is expected to be finished by June. July will see the start of trial runs, and August will see full operations up to RBS.

Agra Metro Expansion: Sikandra and ISBT Station Construction Is Underway The ISBT station will also function as a metro depot for train repair and parking. There is still some work to be done, such as installing U-girders next to the Khandari ramp and erecting the two last pillars. By July, ISBT’s work should be finished.

In the meanwhile, work is underway to build the Guru Ka Taal and Sikandra stations. The Agra Metro will operate smoothly from Taj East Gate to Sikandra after the first corridor is finished, which is anticipated to happen in March 2026.
