How to get a job in NIA?
There are two main ways to become an officer in NIA - SSC CGL exam and UPSC exam.
If you pass the SSC CGL (Combined Graduate Level) exam, then you are eligible for the post of Sub Inspector (SI). At the same time, if you are selected in services like IPS or IRS through UPSC, then you can get appointment as an officer in NIA.
Apart from this, if you are already working in a law enforcement agency, then you can also join NIA through transfer or application.
CGL exam process
SSC CGL exam is conducted in four stages (Tier 1, 2, 3 and 4). After passing all the stages, there is a physical test and interview. After this, the candidate is given training and then they are appointed in NIA.
What is the salary of an NIA officer?
The salary in NIA varies according to the post. But the starting salary of a sub-inspector is around Rs 56,100 per month, which includes other allowances. This salary can be even higher on higher posts.
