In the early era of Bollywood many side actors gained more headlines compared to main lead actors. Today we will discuss one such star who has worked in over 500 movies in supporting roles. He never got the opportunity to play a lead character. Despite all that the actor made a big name for himself in the industry and today is remembered with all the love. If you are wondering who we are talking about then the actor in discussion is none other than Kedarnath Sehgal. In some films he portrayed the role of a doctor sometimes a policeman and many times as a judge. Sehgal has featured in movies including Sholay Zanjeer Don Khuda Kasam Suraag Gupt Trimurti Veergati Guddu Sanam Harjai Beta Ho To Aisa Krantiveer Andaz Geet Tilak Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman and Honeymoon. Many times he used to work with Rishi Kapoor and sometimes with Amitabh Bachchan. Because of his strong personality and iconic dialogues Kedarnath made an impact on the audience despite having small roles. Kedarnath started his acting journey with Sikandar-e-Azam with Prithviraj Kapoor in 1941. Not just in movies Kedarnath also worked in TV. He appeared in shows like Byomkesh Bakshi. Though not much information about Sehgals family is available as per IMDb he has a daughter named Veena Sehgal. He also has a brother Madan who is married to Madhu Malhotra. Madhu has also worked in many films and was also married to Bollywood villain Mahesh Anand but got divorced. Kedarnath Sehgal passed away on 29 September 2013 in Mumbai due to health related ailments.
