Our Showbiz team has been following the latest scandal, after Jamie Borthwick was reportedly dumped by his girlfriend amid the sex toy incident. Meanwhile, our Data Unit team has created an interactive map revealing the UK locations where fatal attacks by dangerous dogs have taken place in the last five years.

The number of fatal attacks has soared to 31 since 2020, and around 17 involved an or suspected XL Bully. We've also got the very latest on the yellow weather warnings, which will bring serious flooding across Tuesday and Wednesday.

This morning, our News team reported on the tragic death of a British groom-to-be, who died on a Benidorm stag do in front of his father and friends. The 29-year-old father-of-one from Halifax was pronounced dead following the incident at the Funky Flamingo on March 22.

As reported by the manager of the bar, the man fell backwards off a bar stool and hit his head on the ground. After he became unconscious, the manager and staff in the bar attempted CPR for around 15 minutes, before an ambulance arrived. Medics then gave him a shot of adrenaline and attempted further resuscitation, but he could not be saved.

The man's father and friends, who were with him at the bar, were said to have been left in tears. Bar manager Gaston Luciano told the MailOnline: "They gave him a shot of adrenaline and connected him to a machine, they did everything they could, it was so sad. His friends were in shock for the first minute or so and then it hit them what was happening, they were emotional and crying." He was due to marry his fiancé in May and was on a stag do at the time of the accident.

There's never a dull moment in the of , and our Showbiz team has been following the latest ballroom drama. Last night, we broke the news that star had been reportedly dumped by his girlfriend amid the sex toy scandal.

It comes after footage emerged that showed 30, brandishing a sex toy that had been sent to him by 53. It has been claimed the footage was shared within a messaging group that included other Strictly stars - who it is suggested did not expect nor want to be included in an exchange that had a sexual connotation.

As many of the stars are considered family friendly, there are fears that they could be tarnished with a sexualised brush due to Jamie and Wynne's alleged behaviour. TheTV star had been with his partner Chloe whilst he appeared on the show as well as the live tour, but they have reportedly now gone their separate ways.

A source told: "Seeing the video of him with the sex toy and acting so weirdly made her realise it was the right choice. Jamie acts like a boy in a man’s body. She doesn’t have time for that."

After a stretch of sunshine, conditions are set to worsen with the warning of disastrous flooding across Tuesday and Wednesday. In total, 37 areas have been plunged under a yellow warning, and forecasters have stressed that heavy rain could spark travel disruption and powercuts.

The alert is set from 12pm in the afternoon on Tuesday, until midday on Wednesday. In a statement, the said: "A spell of heavy and persistent rain is expected to move north across western Britain during Tuesday into early Wednesday.

"Whilst there is some uncertainty in where the heaviest rain will fall, 20-40 mm of rain is expected fairly widely. A few places may see 50-75 mm of rain during this period: gradually building up in the west following rain on Monday, whilst in parts of the east, falling in shorter periods where heavy showers and thunderstorms become slow-moving."

As dog attacks continue to dominate the headlines, our Data Unit team has created a new interactive map revealing the UK locations where fatal attacks by dangerous have taken place in the last five years. It comes after two people have been killed already this year in savage attacks by , bringing the number of fatal attacks since 2020 to 31.

Of the 31 attacks in the last 5 years, around 17 involved an or suspected XL Bully. Others involved American bulldogs, pitbulls, Cane Corso dogs and Rottweilers, among other breeds. Possession of an XL Bully without a certificate of exemption was banned last year in February, and since the ban more than 55,000 dogs have been placed on a government database.

As of January this year, almost a year after the ban was introduced, more than 4,500 suspected illegal dogs have been seized by police. However, Chief Constable Mark Hobrough warned that gangs are already breeding new types of aggressive dogs that do not fall under the legislation. He said: "This is something we are going to have to evolve to deal with as an organisation."

Finally, our Politics team has been faced with yet another busy day as former Tory MP Craig Williams is among 15 people charged with gambling offences after placing bets into the 2024. The Gambling Commission launched an investigation last summer after claims emerged that a number of campaigners, candidates and others with links to the political, had allegedly made suspicious bets on the date of the .

After a ten-month investigation, 15 people have now been charged and are due to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court on June 13, 2025 - and at least ten of those involved had roles within the Tory party. Under the Gambling Act, cheats can be jailed for up to two years.

Any serving Conservative staff members who have been charged are being "suspended with immediate effect", the party said. Mr Williams, who admitted to having "put a flutter" on the date, insisted he had committed an error of judgment, not an offence and that he intended to "clear my name".
