Barcelona S.C., one of Ecuador’s largest football clubs, has announced online gambling company 1xBet as its main sponsor in a deal that runs through 2027.
As part of the agreement, the 1xBet logo will appear on both the club’s match and training kits. The company will also benefit from branding around Barcelona S.C.’s home ground at the Banco Pichincha Stadium.
Supporters of the club can expect a range of fan engagement opportunities, including player meet-and-greets and promotional contests, featuring prizes such as signed merchandise.
A Barcelona S.C. representative said: “1xBet is a globally recognised brand that has proven to be a reliable partner of FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. We are delighted to join forces and look forward to working together. We hope that 1xBet’s support will help us regain the league title and strengthen our position on the international stage.”
The agreement was facilitated by the global sports media agency, bwise Media. A representative from the agency described the partnership as “a perfect match at the right time”.
While 1xBet has already partnered with prominent European clubs like FC Barcelona and PSG, the deal with Barcelona S.C. brings a new dimension to its portfolio. The Ecuadorian side has won a record 16 league titles, more than any other club in the country.
Crucially, the club also represents an opportunity for 1xBet to strengthen its footprint in South America, a region where the gambling company has been ramping up its efforts. Barcelona S.C. has reached nine semi-finals and two finals of the Copa Libertadores de América, proving its continental pedigree.
