Famous Indian producer Boney Kapoor is one of the known figures in the Bollywood industry. Apart from his professional life his personal life remained under public radar. Boney was first married to Mona Shourie. However after her passing away due to cancer the producer got married to actress Sridevi. Both his weddings were extremely controversial and so was the tragic demise of both his wives. Mona was hardly 19 when she tied the knot with Boney Kapoor. While their wedding was going fine it changed when she discovered that her husband was having an affair with someone else. Despite giving up on the situation Mona took charge and held it together for her kids Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor. In one of her throwback interviews Mona revealed that since Boney was dating Sridevi she was made to feel humiliated and that she was “made to feel lesser. In an old interview with DNA Mona Kapoor said “The humiliation was painful because I was pitted against a heroine. I was made to feel lesser. Industry wives gave me suggestions like ‘Why don’t you lose weight?’ or ‘Why don’t you join a spa?’ All this made me realise that I had to get up dust myself and start walking all over again. I told my parents that I wanted to make my own identity. During that tough time Mona had the full support of her family. However it was one piece of advice given to her by her best friends mother that stuck with her till the very last. Kapoor recalled the guidance “‘If somebody has no place in your life then you can have no place for them in yours.’ This was my aakashwani. I understood that I had not failed – my relationship had! Her life changed overnight and she focused more on work eventually reaching the pinnacle of success. Amid all this Sridevi and Boney Kapoor tied the knot in June 1996. They eventually made their relationship public in 1997 following the Mr. India actress’s pregnancy.
