When Sagarika Ghatge spoke about her interfaith marriage with Zaheer Khan, how her father did his background check very properly

Sagarika Ghatge recently welcomed a baby boy with her husband, cricketer Zaheer Khan. The duo make for one of the most beautiful couples, every time they share a picture together on social media. Sagrika made the baby announcement by sharing the first pictures and also revealing his name. She said, "With love, gratitude and divine blessings we welcome our precious little baby boy, Fatehsinh Khan . 🙏🧿.”
Meanwhile, here's recalling the time when the 'Chak De! India' actress had opened up on her interfaith wedding with Zaheer. She had said that while her parents are quite modern and supported her decision, her father did a general background check which a protective father would always do, for any guy.
She had said in an interview with Hauterrfly, "When my father got to know about it, he had messaged Zaheer’s coach, Anshuman Gaekwad, because he’s related to us. Kaka’s some relation or the other. So he messaged him, and then he (Anshuman) sent a message to Zaheer, saying, ‘Oh I’ve heard you’re friendly with my niece.’ Zaheer is showing me this, and he’s like, ‘I’m not replying.’ I said, ‘Don’t reply. I don’t know whatever that is’."
She added, "So, my father actually got his background check done very properly. And all he’s like, ‘Oh, he’s one of the nicest cricketers.’ That is all everyone told him. But I think it was important for my father to do his due diligence.”
Sagarika further spoke about the discussion regarding their different faiths and said, "I think, my parents are very progressive. Of course, things were discussed, but I think, for me, it was important to find the right human being who I could share my life with.”
She had said, "It was people around us who were making that conversation. My parents were very progressive people, and of course, things were discussed. But for me, it was important to find the right human being who I could share my life with,” she said, adding, "We both are very individual people, and that is the beauty of it."
