International cricketer has been recently going through sluggish form, as evident from his underwhelming performances in the Champions Trophy, and now in the Pakistan Super League's 2025 edition. In the middle of poor form, the star batter has received some words of encouragement and positive hope from the owner of Karachi Kings, Salman Iqbal. Notably, Karachi Kings is the franchise Babar represented in the PSL before joining Peshawar Zalmi.

Iqbal has come forward and said that a comeback from Babar Azam is surely on the cards, and whenever it happens, he will become the best version of himself. The franchise owner even made a bold claim that Babar has the power to surpass the greatness of not only current generation's best batter Virat Kohli, but also the all-time West Indies greats like Sir Viv Richards and Sir Garfield Sobers.

"I am telling you. Mark my words, when Babar Azam makes a comeback again, he will be a bigger player than any other player in the world, including Virat Kohli. He will be matched with names likes Garry Sobers and Sir Viv Richards," Iqbal said via ARY Podcast.

"He has that class element. When someone has class.... Class is permanent, you can't change that. Style is always permanent. He will come back...he will come back with a bang," the franchise owner added.
