In an effort to improve medical treatment for its staff, the management of TGSRTC added 12 beds to the emergency room at its Tarnaka hospital and implemented Cath Lab services for cardiac conditions. TGSRTC Managing Director VC Sajjanar officially opened the services on Friday.
According to TGSRTC, Ashok Leyland provided financial assistance for the Critical Cardiac Care Unit, and the Facts Foundation partnered with Tarnaka Hospital to create the Cath Lab. Likewise, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) provided funding to improve the Emergency Care Unit via Nirman.org.
Sajjanar highlighted that the management is certain that the health of the Corporation’s workers, who are the foundation of TGSRTC, is essential to its success. Tarnaka Hospital has distinguished itself from other RTCs in the nation by establishing itself as a super-speciality institution that provides top-notch medical services comparable to those of corporate hospitals. According to him, the average number of outpatients who visit Tarnaka Hospital each day has increased from around 600 in 2021 to about 2,000 now.
Sajjanar, who placed a high priority on the health and safety of RTC staff, commended the IOCL, Facts Foundation, and Ashok Leyland officials for their joint efforts to improve the Emergency Care Unit, Critical Cardiac Care Unit, and Cath Lab.
He emphasised the hospital’s recently opened emergency ward, 24-hour pharmacy, physiotherapy facility, and advanced MRI and CT scan capabilities. He pointed out that a full spectrum of medical treatments are now available at this institution thanks to the recent launch of Cath Lab services.
As part of the Grand Health Challenge, a number of medical tests were conducted to evaluate the health of workers and their partners, leading to the development of thorough health profiles for each participant. He said that 900 people with serious medical conditions were able to obtain immediate treatment at Tarnaka Hospital thanks to this campaign, eventually saving their lives. Additionally, he said that the business is dedicated to using technology to improve medical services for staff members. Additionally, he said that management intends to implement a number of healthcare initiatives for employees in the future.
