After Jaydeep Bihani, the chairperson of the Rajasthan Cricket Association’s ad hoc committee, expressed scepticism over the Rajasthan Royals’ recent 2-run defeat to the Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL 2025, tensions between the two teams have increased.

Bihani claimed the outcome could be problematic and even hinted at probable meddling. The management of the IPL team has responded by officially complaining to the Chief Minister, Sports Minister, and Sports Secretary, demanding that Bihani face harsh consequences.

One of the team’s top officials, Deep Roy, flatly rejected Bihani’s claims as “false, baseless, and without any evidence”.

In addition to questioning the team’s performance, Bihani accused the Rajasthan Royals, Rajasthan Sports Council, and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) of conspiring to exclude the RCA’s ad hoc committee from IPL-related events.

“We reject all allegations made by the convener of the ad hoc committee,” the RR management said in a robust protest of these assertions. The credibility and prestige of the Rajasthan Royals, Royal Multi Sport Private Limited (RMPL), the Rajasthan Sports Council, and the BCCI have all suffered greatly as a result of these deceptive public remarks. They also damage cricket’s reputation.

The franchise highlighted its 18-year collaboration with the government and state association, as well as its continuous efforts in complete adherence to BCCI regulations. The Rajasthan Sports Council currently has the formal authority to host IPL matches in Jaipur during the current season, according to the BCCI’s present arrangements.

The Royals said that, under the direction of the state government, they are coordinating with the Council and the BCCI to make sure the tournament is conducted well. RCA has successfully held ICC-BCCI international matches and events in the state in the past, according to Bihani.

However, by preventing the government-appointed ad hoc committee from attending the IPL match in Jaipur, the Sports Council is working against the interests of sports. The RCA ad hoc committee was prevented from arranging the IPL by the State Sports Council. He said that they didn’t even create event-related accreditation cards for the members.
