Soon, a special task force will start assessing the quality of instruction at Uttar Pradesh’s Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs). The inspection will determine if pupils are understanding the content and whether instructors are executing their lessons successfully.
Education officials at the divisional and district levels have been tasked with conducting these inspections and providing thorough reports on the facilities and academic performance of these schools.
All 746 KGBVs that are active in the state are covered by the programme. Dr Mukesh Kumar Singh, the Deputy Education Director (Samagra Shiksha), claims that regular inspections are carried out to guarantee ongoing progress.
Girls in underdeveloped areas may get free residential education at these schools; 388 KGBVs have already been promoted to the Intermediate level, and the remaining ones give instruction up to Class 8.
By the end of this month or the start of next month, the task force should be up and running. Inspections will concentrate on determining if the assigned instructors and wardens are carrying out their responsibilities, how much of each subject’s curriculum was covered in April, and whether or not pupils can understand the material. Additionally, the quality of the food and lodging at school hostels will be verified on-site.
