According to reports the Galaxy Z Flip FE model is going to be Samsung’s first real focus on the foldable segment with an affordable product but now it seems the company is shifting its strategy to align with its current lineup.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE launch is now pushed to Q4 2025 as per the report, which means we won’t be seeing it announced along with the Z Fold and Flip 7 models. The good news is that we could see the affordable Flip model introduced with Samsung’s first tri-fold device later this year. The Q4 timeline suggests Samsung could debut the new foldables around October which is a month after the iPhone 17 series rolls out from Apple.
According to a tipster, the FE Flip phone could be powered by the same Exynos chipset as the premium Galaxy S24 series. Samsung has talked about exploring ways to reduce the entry barriers for foldables so that more customers consider buying them.
And one big way to do that is by offering its products at a more accessible price point. We are eager to see how aggressive the brand is ready to go with the FE Flip model, and whether it can deliver a product with a price tag that convinces people to buy and get more of them interested in the form factor.
Samsung also has the Galaxy S25 Edge model in the pipeline for 2025 that some rumours have suggested will be launching in May with select markets in focus. The company is also busy handling the One UI 7 update delays for its earlier Galaxy S flagship phones, with the 2024 models finally getting the new Android 15 version in India this week.
