Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, has announced increased perks for the Chief Minister’s Mass Marriage Scheme. In an effort to include more disadvantaged households, the yearly income threshold for eligibility has been raised from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 3 lakh.

Additionally, the scheme’s financial aid has increased from Rs 51,000 to Rs 1 lakh per pair. The bride’s bank account would get a direct deposit of Rs 60,000 out of the whole sum. Gifts totaling Rs 25,000 will be given to the couple, and Rs 15,000 will go toward wedding costs.

These modifications take effect right now. Previously, the extra Rs 1 lakh aid was supposed to take effect on April 1. The Social Welfare Department had suggested allocating Rs. 75,000 to the bride’s account, Rs. 15,000 for presents, and Rs. 10,000 for wedding costs as the wedding season drew near.

This suggestion was changed to the present allocation by the Chief Minister. Along with reviewing the old-age pension plan, the chief minister gave staff instructions to guarantee that all eligible older residents were covered. In order to expedite the procedure and guarantee prompt pension payout, he recommended integrating the program with the Family ID.
