IPL 2025 match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Delhi Capitals (DC): Virat Kohli, the team’s batting mainstay, discussed his batting strategy on Sunday, stating that his main focus is still on analyzing the situation and switching up his strike. He orchestrated yet another successful chase to lead RCB to the top of the IPL table with a six-wicket victory over DC at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Kohli (51) and Krunal Pandya (73 not out) shared an 119-run standoff of 84 to surpass the goal in 18.3 overs and prolong their undefeated record away from home after RCB was dropped to 26 for 3 while chasing 163.

“Considering the surface, that was a huge victory. This wicket unfolded in a different way from the games we saw here. After the victory, Kohli, wearing the orange hat, said, “Whenever there’s a chase going on, I keep checking with the dugout whether we’re on course.”

“In order to keep the game from becoming boring, I strive to keep up my singles and doubles. The goal of this event is to strive to dominate the bowlers via partnerships and professionalism, but people are forgetting how important partnerships are.

“Krunal was outstanding; he can make an impact, and it was just about time,” Kohli added in reference to Krunal, who slammed his maiden fifty since 2016. Krunal kept encouraging me to remain while he took his opportunities, but we have excellent communication.”

Tim David hit 19 runs off of only five balls to score the winning runs after Kohli was out.

Regarding the finishers, Kohli said, “Jitesh and Tim David give us more strength. You absolutely benefit from such firepower at the end of the innings. And now, Romario too.

The former RCB captain praised the bowlers, saying, “Josh holds the Purple Cap for a reason—Hazlewood and Bhuvi are world-class bowlers. Krunal’s ability to change up his speed was excellent. Despite not having any wickets, Suyash has been our dark horse. The middle overs are when our spinners continue to assault.
