Bihar, a state with a population of over 13 crore and around 8 crore voters, is preparing for the 2025 Assembly Elections. In advance of this, on April 24, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi traveled to Madhubani, Bihar, and spoke at a rally, sending a powerful message to the world that those responsible for the Pahalgam terror assault will suffer “punitive action beyond their imagination.” Electronic voting machines (EVMs) of the M-3 type are a component of the current polling preparations.

Personnel for election tasks are still being verified. All departments have received the list of chosen employees from the District Election Office, along with instructions to finish the verification procedure and turn in their reports as soon as possible.

After verification reports are received, eligible people will be allocated to election-related tasks. In-depth information has been requested by the District Election Office, including the persons’ current posting status, retirement status, and health conditions. All departments have been asked to provide a report that addresses these issues.

A thorough database of every employee is being created concurrently. Over two dozen employees have been allocated to the Personnel Cell by the District Election Officer in order to speed up this procedure. Ensuring fast and accurate data compilation is the aim.

M-3 EVM: What is it?
The M-3 EVM is a cutting-edge device with cutting-edge technology. First-level verification is set to start on May 25 and is anticipated to arrive by May 21. For about a month, around 25 engineers will be working on this project. The M-3 EVM’s tamper-detection capabilities is a crucial component that guarantees great security and dependability by turning the machine off if even a single screw is missing.

On May 24, 2025, PM Modi will make his second trip to Bihar in ten days, this time to inaugurate the “Khelo India Youth Games” in Patliputra’s Sports Complex in Patna.

“In addition, the Prime Minister will initiate a number of development initiatives throughout his one-day visit,” said Mangal Pandey, the Health Minister in the Nitish Cabinet and a former president of the Bihar BJP.
