ASRB NET, SMS Recruitment 2025: Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) has invited applications for 582 posts for NET, ARS, SMS and STO examination to be held in 2025. Interested candidates can apply online by visiting the official website (www.asrb.org.in). Eligible candidates will have to pass various examination levels to be appointed to these posts.

Vacancy Details
A total of 582 posts have been invited by the Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) for NET, ARS, SMS, and STO examination to be held in 2025. This includes 41 posts of Specialist SMS, 83 posts of National Eligibility Test (NET), and 458 posts of Agricultural Research Service (ARS). Candidates have to apply for these posts as per the prescribed eligibility criteria.

Who can apply?

Candidates applying for this recruitment should have a master's degree in the relevant subject from any recognized university in India.

The age limit has been prescribed for NET, AR ARS, SMS and STO Exam 2025 conducted by Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB). The minimum age prescribed for NET at 21 years. The maximum age has been prescribed for ARS at 32 years. Candidates should not be more than 35 years of age for SMS and STO posts.

Application Fee for ASRB Recruitment
The application fee for SMS, STO, ARS, and NET posts conducted by Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) has been prescribed separately as per the post and category. Unreserved (UR) category candidates will have to pay Rs 1000 for NET, while EWS/OBC will have to pay Rs 500. EWS/OBC will have to pay a fee of Rs 800 for ARS/SMS/STO posts.

SC/ST/Female candidates will have to pay Rs 250 only for NET while no fee for other posts. If a candidate applies for any combination of ARS/SMS/STO with NET, then the general category will have to pay a fee of Rs 2000, OBC/EWS Rs 1300 and SC/ST/Female category Rs 250. Payment can be made through debit card, credit card, net banking, or e-challan.

Know important dates
The application process for the examination of NET, ARS, SMS, and STO posts conducted by the Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) is on from 22 April 2025. Interested candidates can apply online till 21 May 2025. The examination fee can also be paid by this date. The preliminary examination will be held between 2 to 4 September 2025, while the main examination for ARS, SMS, and STO posts is scheduled on 7 December 2025.
