Famous Pakistani singer and music composer Sahir Ali Bagga has announced that he is composing a new national song as a reply to India’s recent provocative tactics. He had earlier composed the patriotic song “Pakistan Zindabad” during Indian pilot Abhinandan’s arrest.
In his latest interview, Bagga said he felt deeply thankful towards the love and support he has been getting from the Pakistani nation all along.
Talking about national identity, he mentioned that “Pakistan Zindabad” was the first slogan that was raised when the nation was born, and it continues to ring in the hearts of Pakistanis today. “We want to convey a message to the world that Pakistanis are a peaceful and loving people,” he added.
Asserting his patriotic spirit, Bagga stated, “Pakistan was, is, and will always be Zindabad (long live).”
Lighter aside, during a conversation about cricket, he mentioned that he enjoys watching only matches between India and Pakistan. His favorite players are Wasim Akram, Shahid Afridi, and Kamran Akmal. In the Pakistan Super League (PSL), he is a fan of the Lahore Qalandars team.
Bagga’s announcement was made at a time of increased tensions in the region with the intention of improving national morale and cohesion through music.
Earlier, Renowned Pakistani singer Sahir Ali Bagga, known for his melodious voice, recently revealed his dedication to the political arena, recounting an incident where he performed a political song at a wedding ceremony that deeply moved former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Bagga disclosed to BBC Urdu that the emotional response from Nawaz Sharif upon hearing the song brought tears to his eyes, describing it as a pinnacle of success in his career.
