CBSE Board Result 2025: Everyone is eagerly waiting for the result of the Central Board of Secondary Education class 10th-12th examinations. In such a situation, the students and parents need to know how many marks are mandatory to pass and what the minimum passing percentage is.
CBSE has set a clear framework of minimum marks to pass each subject, in which it is necessary to pass both theory and practical separately. Let's know what criteria students have to fulfill to pass the 2025 exam.
10th students have to get this many marks
CBSE class 10th students are required to get at least 33% of the total marks in each subject to pass. If a subject includes both theory and practical parts, then students have to score 33% marks separately in both. For example, in a science subject, if 70 marks are for theory and 30 marks for practical, then the student must score at least 23 marks in theory and 10 marks in practical.
Pass Percentage for 12th
In class 12th also, students are required to score a minimum of 33% marks in both theory and practical parts of each subject. Only the total marks are not enough, but it is necessary to pass in every part. If the student fails in any one part, he will be considered as failed in that subject.
Who can give a compartment exam?
Class 10th If the student fails in one or two subjects, then he can appear in the compartment exam.
In class 12th, if the student fails in only one subject, then he can appear in the compartment exam. If the student fails in two or more subjects, then he cannot appear in the compartment exam and has to retake the entire exam.
