The 62-year-old is gearing up for the release of his new film, Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning, and the promotion for the movie involves what Tom Cruise is best known for- incredible stunts.
In a new video shared by the official Mission: Impossible handle, Tom Cruise can be seen jumping off of a helicopter. A camera rig strapped to the Jerry Maguire actor films his descent. The clip also goes behind-the-scenes (BTS) to show how the stunt was filmed.
“Survival is in the details,” the caption of the post read.
Another video shared by Tom Cruise shows the Hollywood icon falling from the helicopter.

Speaking of the trailer’s viral underwater sequence, Tom Cruise had earlier shared how the portion had been filmed. “From Legend in 1985 to Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning, I have been studying and filming underwater sequences for over 40 years. We have always tried to push our filmmaking to the next level, and in this movie McQ and I saw an opportunity to create an underwater sequence unlike any other. We are excited to share it with you,” he wrote.
For fans in India, the movie is set to release on May 17. For the rest of the globe, the official release date is May 23. The movie will have its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival 2025.
