Firozpur: Life seems to be returning to normal in Punjab’s border district of Firozpur as residents go about their everyday lives while India and Pakistan work toward an agreement to halt hostilities. As a last option, parents are sending their kids off to school as usual. In other words, Firozpur is proceeding as usual.

There were no reports of shelling, shooting, or drones here last night. According to an official, Amritsar is “normal” on Sunday, with people going about their everyday lives and markets being open, after days of tensions between India and Pakistan.

“Amritsar is experiencing a typical scenario. Individuals are going about their everyday tasks. Offices are closed on Sundays, but markets are open and daily activities continue as usual. “Thanks to the cooperation of the people,” the Deputy Commissioner of Amritsar stated. According to local Manjeet Singh, Amritsar residents have complete trust in the Army.

“The Army stopped all of Pakistan’s drone assaults and responded appropriately… Thus, Amritsar residents have faith in the Army. This place is not a panic… It is very unacceptable that they made the error of breaking the truce last night. Speaking to the media report, Singh said, “They will receive a suitable response.” According to another local resident, this response was typical.

This follows the implementation of total blackouts in several Punjabi cities on the evening of May 10, including Pathankot, Ludhiana, Moga, Ferozepur, and Jalandhar.

A blackout has been imposed as a precaution, and the Jalandhar Deputy Commissioner released a statement asking the locals to remain calm.

In the meanwhile, stores and schools are running normally in the border areas of Jaisalmer and Barmer. Schools in Jaisalmer reopened today after shuttering on May 7 in response to Operation Sindoor, which targeted terrorist targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Barmer stated that there were no shelling, gunfire, or drone events last night. We observed locals going about their regular lives and shopping at marketplaces.
