Under the 100-day, 7-point Action Plan initiative implemented by Maharashtra for regional government and semi-government offices, the Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA), Brihanmumbai, has been awarded the first rank among 95 state corporations for outstanding performance.
In recognition of this achievement, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar felicitated SRA CEO Dr Mahendra Kalyankar (IAS) at a ceremony in Mantralaya. Chief Secretary of Maharashtra Sujata Saunik, Minister Chhagan Bhujbal, and several other senior officials and staff members from various departments attended the event.
The primary objective of this 100-day campaign was to improve public orientation in administration, ensure better service delivery, promote the use of technology, enhance transparency and efficiency, and effectively communicate government schemes to the citizens. Rehabilitation Authority, Brihanmumbai earned 82.16 points, excelling particularly in areas such as website improvement, office cleanliness, grievance redressal, ease of services, promotion of investments, and effective use of technology. This initiative, evaluated by the Quality Council of India, aims to build trust between the government and citizens, and to inspire officers and staff to achieve higher standards in their future work.
