“I am happy and think taking responsibility as the captain was appropriate,” Locatelli said.

“Everyone deserves the credit. We have made some mistakes, but reaching the Champions League was among our targets, and we made it. The coach has helped us with enthusiasm.”

Yildiz scored a goal in the first half and joined Locatelli for a post-match interview.

“I must thank our fans and the team. We gave everything,” said the Turkish talent.

“We reached our target and must congratulate Venezia, who played a great game. Good luck to them.”

Juventus had never won away under Tudor before tonight, but their victory in Venice will allow them to play in the Champions League next season, while the Lagunari were relegated to Serie B.

Tudor spoke after the game in Venice, saying that his future will be decided before the Club World Cup and not after, as director Cristiano Giuntoli suggested.
