According to The Stara medical examination conducted after the concert revealed that Chen was suffering from appendicitis. She was hospitalized on Tuesday and discharged the following day.

“The doctor assured me that it was just a minimally invasive procedure,” Chen shared on her Instagram Story. “I was hospitalized for one night and have recovered well.”

Chen also expressed gratitude to the medical team for their attentive care and thanked the hospital for sending a thoughtful gift basket.

“I have already been discharged from the hospital. The doctor says I can eat anything I want,” she added.

At 46, Chen is widely known as the “Queen of Idol Dramas” for her leading roles in popular TV series such as “The Prince Who Turns into a Frog,” “Fated to Love You,” and “The Queen of SOP.”

She married Malaysian businessman Alan Chen in 2022.
