In today’s era, people have become more cautious about their health. Catering improves, yoga and home remedies play an important role in healthy lifestyle. Especially stomach problems like gas, acidity, indigestion and flatulence have now become common. In such a situation, people consider it better to adopt home remedies more than medicines. Among these measures, the name of cumin water and celery water comes at the top.
Cumin and celery have been used in Indian kitchen for centuries. In Ayurveda, both are considered beneficial for the stomach. But often people question which of these two is more effective, especially during the summer season?
According to Ayurveda expert Kiran Gupta, both cumin and celery are beneficial but their effect depends on the weather and the need of the body. He told that cumin water is more beneficial in summer because its effect is cold. It cools the stomach, which relieves problems like gas, constipation and acidity.
Drinking cumin water on an empty stomach in summer is very beneficial. This not only keeps the stomach clean but also improves metabolism. Fast metabolism helps in weight loss because it increases fat burning process. Apart from this, the antioxidants present in cumin detox the body and also fix the digestive system.
Celery water is considered to be relieving stomach pain, especially in periods, but excessive intake in summer can increase acidity. According to Kiran Gupta, celery water should be drunk only when needed in summer. However, celery water in other seasons helps in cleaning the intestines. It has anti-bacterial properties which are helpful in eliminating harmful bacteria. It also helps reduce abdominal fat, so it is a good option for weight loss – but with caution in summer.
