Senior Physician of Delhi Dr. Ajay Kumar explains that there can be many reasons behind hyperhydrosis:
This problem usually comes in the form of sweat on the palm, soles, armpits or face. This not only causes discomfort, but can also cause mental problems like bad odor and social anxiety.
Major symptoms of hyperhydrosis include excessive sweating, bad odor, frequent wet, and dehydration. If it is not treated on time, it can give rise to nervous system and cardiovascular problems. Along with this, if there is fatigue, fever or weight loss with sweating, it can also point towards a serious disease such as TB or hormonal tumor.
If you sweat more than normal, contact the doctor immediately. Doctors confirm the disease through investigations like blood tests, thyroid and hormone profiles as required. Treatment is recommended even to medical therapy, antiperpirents, botox injections, or surgery if needed.
