Many health experts confirm that consumption of green tea in certain circumstances can increase health problems.
People who have problems like acidity, ulcers etc. in the stomach should avoid drinking green tea. The tannin present in green tea can increase the amount of acid in the stomach, causing problems such as acidity and ulcers. According to a research, drinking green tea on an empty stomach can increase stomach problems and can cause gastric discomfort.
Green tea can reduce the absorption of iron. The tannin present in it works to prevent the absorption of iron in the body, especially when it is drunk with or immediately after food. This condition may worsen for people with iron deficiency. A study has shown that people who are deficient in iron should limit green tea intake or stop completely.
