Parag Jain will get this much salary
The government finalized the appointment of Parag Jain after the approval of the Cabinet Appointments Committee. He was currently working as Special Secretary in RAW and now he has been promoted and given the highest responsibility of the agency. Being the head of RAW, he gets salary in Cabinet Secretary grade from the Central Government, which comes under Pay Level 18 (Apex Scale). In this scale, the government officer gets a basic salary of Rs 2.5 lakh per month. Apart from this, he is also given facilities like Dearness Allowance (DA), Housing Allowance (HRA), Travel Allowance, Medical Facility. Including all these allowances, his total salary can reach Rs 3.5 lakh to 4 lakh per month.
Parag Jain is an IPS of 1989 batch
Parag Jain started his career as IPS (1989 batch, Punjab cadre) after qualifying UPSC. This exam is given after completing graduate level education. Apart from this, the information about which college Parag studied from and how much education he has received is not available publicly at present.
