Hov: The 14-year-old Indian sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi hit 48 runs off just 19 balls to give India’s Under-19 team a tremendous start in the first match of the Youth ODI series. The match was the first match of the series of five matches, which was played in Hov.

Earlier this year, Suryavanshi, who scored a century in men’s T20 cricket for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, made a bang in competitive cricket in England. He added 71 runs in 7.3 overs with captain Ayush Mhatre and India won by six wickets with 26 overs.

The beginning of the England tour was memorable for Indian youth. Three days before this, he won by 231 runs in another 50 -over match against Young Lions Invitational XI in Lofbero.

Suryavanshi was the center point in this match. He hit five sixes and three fours. The first over of Jack Home was 21 runs, in which he hit a six on the bridge shot through the top-edge, then hit two more sixes in the direction of the mid on and the couner. However, as soon as the slow left -arm spinner Ralfi Albert came on bowling, Suryavanshi was caught out at the point on the first ball.

After this, India lost three more wickets, but wicketkeeper Abhigyan Kundu scored an unbeaten 45 runs to bring the team to the target. England’s entire team was reduced to just 174 runs in 42.2 overs. Only Rocky Flintoff (56) and Isaac Mohammed (42) could score more than 20 runs.

Despite the presence of greenery and clouds on the pitch, India’s spinners – Mohammad Enan and Kanishka Chauhan put more common. The two took five wickets together and proved to be the most affordable bowler.
