The responsibility of operating the Meta Superintelligence Labs has been given to former CEO Alexander Wang of Scale AI. He will now act as Chief AI Officer of Meta. Mark Zuckerberg has described Wang as the most influential founder in an internal memo received by Bloomberg. Alexander Wang’s experience and approach will help in giving new height to this mission.
Along with Alexander Wang, former Githab CEO Net Freedman has also participated in this scheme. Freedman will focus on the development of AI products. Zuckerberg said that these two leaders will play an important role in taking AI of Meta to a new era.
According to Bloomberg report, Mark Zuckerberg is leading the process of hiring himself for Meta Superintelligence Labs. He has included the top talents of competitive companies and included it in his team by offering attractive packages. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman recently claimed that Meta had offered his employees up to $ 100 million, although the claim was rejected by the CTO of META.
META has recently invested $ 14.3 billion in data labeling startup Scale AI. Apart from this, META has also started talks with startups like Perplexity AI and Runway. At the same time, soon a small AI company called Playai may also be acquired, which is working on voice replication technology.
