The effect of the monsoon in Himachal Pradesh is now clearly visible during school holidays. Holidays are also necessary for the safety of children and the severity of the weather.

An important news has come out for the children studying in Himachal Pradesh and all the people associated with the schools. Himachal Pradesh School Education Board (HPBOSE) has announced the dates of monsoon holidays for all the summer, winter and special area schools of the state.

This decision has been taken in view of the increasing impact of monsoon in the state and the safety of children. The board has given clear instructions that all schools will have to strictly follow the fixed dates of holidays. If any school ignores this order and remains open during holidays, then the school administration will be fully responsible for any kind of accident.

Why are these holidays necessary?

The rainy season in Himachal often creates problems. Especially in the hilly areas, landslides, waterlogging and closure of roads are common. Keeping this in mind, the board has fixed different holiday dates for schools according to the weather and location.

Opening schools during holidays will be costly

The board has also said that if any school is found open during holidays, or any accident occurs due to the school being open, then legal action will be taken against it. The board has strictly warned the schools not to compromise on the safety of students and staff and follow the rules of holidays.

From when to when will the schools remain closed?

The Himachal Pradesh Board has announced the dates of holidays according to different areas. In some areas, this holiday is starting early, while in some a little late. Let us know from when to when the schools will remain closed in which area-
