News India Live, Digital Desk: Big Change in Aadhaar Card Rules: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has made a significant change in the Aadhaar card rules. Its purpose is to further strengthen the country’s identity system and to effectively ban on the formation of fake or duplicate Aadhaar cards. According to the new rules, now a special verification of the applicant will be done before applying for any new Aadhaar card. UIDAI has clarified that now before every new Aadhaar registration, it will be ensured that there is no Aadhaar number in the name of the person concerned. If a person already has an Aadhaar card and applies for a new card, his identity will be confirmed using his biometric and other details. This step has been taken so that no person can issue more than one Aadhaar cards to any person. Earlier there have been many cases where the same person had more than one Aadhaar cards. This led to discrepancy, financial fraud and identification challenges in the benefits of government schemes. This new system will help in curbing these problems, which will maintain the integrity of the Aadhaar database and the delivery of various services will be more accurate and safe. This rule ensures that the Aadhaar system continues to serve as a single and reliable identity proof for every citizen of the country. Considering, this decision of UIDAI is an important step towards maintaining the base as a reliable and single identity proof. This rule will not only ensure purity of data, but will also help in preventing forgery, which will further increase people’s trust in base -based services.
