New Delhi. Tension is going on between China and Germany these days. The reason for this tension is Laser, which was allegedly used on a German aircraft. Apparently, Germany is furious on this incident in the Red Sea some time ago and China is denying these allegations. In fact, the matter is such that a civilian aircraft flying with German workers in the past came to know that it has been targeted with a laser beam in the sea.
As soon as the laser beam came under the JD, the pilot immediately decided to return to the European base in Djibouti. But the German Ministry of Defense started to find out from where this laser beam was left. The German investigation revealed that the source of the laser beam was a Chinese warship present in the Arabian Sea near the Gulf of Aden. Describing this incident as a serious security threat, the German government has registered its displeasure.
This is not the first time China has been accused of using laser against foreign aircraft. However, China has been denying it every time. However, this incident has once again created a debate on the fast race of laser weapons. Forces and defense laboratories around the world are engaged in developing a new category of powerful laser rays with power to neutralize goals in the air.
Explain that laser rays can be used to destroy drones and missiles. At the same time, the fighter aircraft through powerful laser rays is also possible to blind the pilots and destroy the aircraft. From the Russian-Ukraine war to the 12-day war between Israeli-Iran and the operation vermilion between India and Pakistan, while drone weapons were used on large scale, laser rays have been used in the anti-drone system.
India showed the strength of Laser in Operation Sindoor
During Operation Sindoor, India used indigenous D-4 anti-drone system, with a 2 kW capacity beam to kill the drone at a distance of about one km. At the same time, India also successfully killed a drone flock sent by Pakistan through several stages anti-drain grid. According to the Ministry of Defense, this system was developed in a record time of just 24 months.
India has also successfully tested a 30 kg watt capacity anti -drone gun in the past. The DRDO’s Center for High Energy System and Sciences has developed a laser directed vapan system, which can eliminate a large flock of drones even from long distances. With this weapon, India has joined the list of selected countries which have high energy laser vapons.
India is working fast on the development of such laser weapons, which have more kilowatt capacity. Because with the help of such weapons, enemy equipment can be destroyed over long distances. Even satellites can be passive and destroyed. India has already proved anti-satellite capacity with its Agni-5 missile. In 2019, under Operation Shakti, India also showed the sample of this strength to the world.
Large and powerful laser weapons directly mean more range and more range means getting more time. In the battlefield, who has the lead of time, has the biggest strength.
Who has so many laser strength
The battles and conflicts during the last three years have made it clear that missiles and drones are the most used weapons. Along with this, ballistic missile defense system and anti -drone system are also being used a lot. But to kill an attacker missile, the missile defense system has to feature many missiles. If the fight goes on long, then the result will be decided that which country has a huge stock of missiles and how much capacity it has to make them.
In such a situation, every big country is now trying to develop high energy directed weapons i.e. laser or microwave based weapons. Because the attacker drone or missile can be killed through only one laser or microwave ray. That is, instead of expensive missiles, work can be done with only one laser beam.
The US has officially deployed Helios (High Energy Laser and Optical Daazler and Survenses) on its warship USS Prebal. The helios system with about 70 kg watt capacity is so powerful that it can destroy not only a drone not only at a drone of 8 km away. Apart from this, extensive monitoring can also be done with Helios.
In 2014, the US launched high energy directed weapons through Laser Vapan Systems or Laws on the USS Pons Warship. A 30 kW solid state laser is used in this.
Russia has also developed the Peresvet Laser Vapan system. This weapon with about 100 kW capacity is used to make the enemy monitoring equipment useless. It is said that Russia uses them with its inter-hediipular ballistic missiles to detect the reconnaissance aircraft and low-orbit satellites sent to detect them. It is also called the only anti -satellite laser weapon in the world.
The UK Dragon Fire Laser is developing a provisioned energy weapon LDEW, through which a large target of a pound of coins can be divided from a distance of one km. Apart from this, China is also engaged in the development of highly directed energy weapons.
