According to The StarHuynh posted highlights from the celebration on July 28, featuring ornate boxes filled with gold jewelry—including bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and traditional hairpins—symbolizing prosperity and good fortune. The offering table also included fine wines, assorted pastries, and premium seafood delicacies such as abalone, fish maw, and shark’s fin.

“Taking part in my own betrothal ceremony certainly feels very special,” Huynh wrote. “Recognizing the values of respect to our families is important to us, so with this next big step coming up soon, I say YES to honoring traditions! YES to allll the luck! And YESSS to double happiness!”

She first announced her engagement on May 14, posting a video capturing her fiancé’s mountaintop proposal.

In an interview with Oriental DailyHuynh revealed she has been busy with wedding preparations. She and her fiancé recently completed their pre-wedding photoshoot at locations that hold sentimental value from their relationship.

“Returning to those places felt really special. It’s like reliving the time when he was pursuing me,” she said. “The most memorable location would be the restaurant where we had our first date. We met as strangers back then. Now, we’re returning as an engaged couple.”

Huynh also shared that she and her fiancé plan to hold an intimate overseas wedding, attended only by close friends and family. When asked about plans for children, she said both of them love kids but are leaving that decision to fate.

“Maybe something special might be in store for us,” she added.

Born and raised in Vancouver, Huynh is of Vietnamese and Hong Kong descent. She began modeling while still in high school and gained experience in bridal, fashion, and makeup modeling before entering a local competition in 2010.

She later participated in the 2012 Miss Chinese Vancouver pageant, winning two titles, and went on to compete in the Miss Hong Kong 2014 pageant.
