Nagpur-Pune Vande Bharat Express: In good news for commuters ahead of the upcoming festive season Maharashtra will get its longest distance Vande Bharat train on August 10 which will ply on the Pune-Nagpur route covering the 881 km journey in about 12 hours. According to officials Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off three new Vande Bharat trains on Sunday one each in Bengaluru Mata Vaishno Devi-Amritsar corridor and Maharashtra. When will Maharashtras longest distance Vande Bharat become operational? The Nagpur-Pune Vande Bharat Express will be flagged off by PM Modi on Sunday (August 10) and will begin commercial operations on the very next day (August 10). The semi high-speed train bearing train number 26101/26102 will cover a distance of 881 km between the two Maharashtra cities in about 12 hours. The new Vande Bharat train will operate at an average speed of 73/kmph and halt at 10 stations during its 12-hour journey. Nagpur-Pune Vande Bharat halts time According to Indian Railways the Nagpur-Pune Vande Bharat Express train will halt at 10 stations located along the route. The 8-coach Vande Bharat train with a seating capacity of 551 passengers will depart from Pune at 6:25 AM and reach Nagpur (Ajni) at 18:25 PM. The train will depart for its return journey from Nagpur at 9:50 AM and arrive in Pune at 21:50 PM. The train will operate six days a week connecting two vital cities in Maharashtra and helping thousands of commuters to reach their destinations. Notably Pune-Nagpur Vande Bharat train will be the 12th of its kind to ply in Maharashtra and also the one covering the longest distance within the state.
