Chelsea have been handed a major Xavi Simons transfer update with the RB Leipzig star still keen on a move to Stamford Bridge. The Blues have welcomed six new signings already this summer and are now actively targeting another two additions.
Simons is one of those hopeful incomings with talks having been ongoing for the last few weeks alongside negotiations with Manchester United for Alejandro Garnacho. More exits are also being worked on with significant funds already raised from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Noni Madueke and Djorde Petrovic among those to have left.
Christopher Nkunku, Carney Chukwuemeka and Renato Veiga look set to be the next trio that depart with a major update on the latter emerging. Simons is undoubtedly the focus of most at Chelsea but the delay in any deal advancing could cost them.

With all of that being said, football.london has provided a fresh perspective on the latest Chelsea transfer news and rumours.
Simons twistAccording to Sky Sports Germany's Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich have made concrete enquiries over the last few days for Simons.
However, he has also stated that a deal is very unlikely with the Dutchmen focused on joining Chelsea especially as there is a verbal agreement in place. football.london understands that Bayern have emerged as serious candidates to sign Christopher Nkunku, though.
football.london says: Bayern swooping for Simons and thus not taking Nkunku of Chelsea's hands would be the absolute worst-case scenario.
Thankfully, it does not look as though that will happen and as such, Simons joining the Blues and Nkunku returning to Germany but with Bayern this time, is firmly on. Exactly where he will fit into Enzo Maresca's team is unclear, but it will undoubtedly be another quality option at his disposal.
While Bayern do not look set to hijack the move, there could be fears for Chelsea that a different team could make an approach if the move continues to be delayed and Simons' patience wears thin especially as the new season is now underway.
Veiga bidVillareal look set to see their proposal to sign Veiga turned down by Chelsea as it does not meet their demands, according totransfer guru Fabrizio Romano.
The La Liga club have sent a contract proposal and see him as the dream signing at centre-back which suggests an improved approach will arrive. The player being keen on the move will also help matters.
football.london says: The reported asking price of Veiga for Chelsea is £34million but it does remain to be seen if Villareal can meet that.
Despite the fact he has barely featured in the Premier League, profit being made on the £12million paid to sign him looks very likely. Having stockpiled a number of players into their squad, Chelsea continue to be very good sellers which also allows them to sanction marquee incomings.
There is a concern that their stance may be too firm with that proven by Atletico Madrid leaving the race for Veiga but another club making their interest known so swiftly suggests Chelsea will receive the fee they want.
