New Delhi: Last week, the total market capitalization of five of the ten most valuable companies rose by an impressive Rs 60,675.94 crore, with State Bank of India and HDFC Bank leading the gains amid a favorable equity market trend.

During the previous week, which was shortened due to holidays, the Sensex increased by 739.87 points, marking a 0.92 percent rise, while the Nifty index climbed by 268 points, or 1.10 percent.

Among the top ten firms, Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, State Bank of India, and Infosys experienced an increase in their market valuations. Conversely, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), ICICI Bank, Hindustan Unilever Ltd, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), and Bajaj Finance saw declines in their market capitalizations.

State Bank of India recorded the largest increase, with its valuation rising by Rs 20,445.82 crore to reach Rs 7,63,095.16 crore.

HDFC Bank's market capitalization surged by Rs 14,083.51 crore, bringing its total to Rs 15,28,387.09 crore.

Infosys added Rs 9,887.17 crore to its valuation, now totaling Rs 6,01,310.19 crore, while Bharti Airtel's market cap increased by Rs 8,410.6 crore to Rs 10,68,260.92 crore.

Reliance Industries also saw a valuation increase of Rs 7,848.84 crore, bringing its total to Rs 18,59,023.43 crore.

On the downside, LIC's market capitalization fell by Rs 15,306.5 crore to Rs 5,61,881.17 crore.

Bajaj Finance's valuation decreased by Rs 9,601.08 crore to Rs 5,35,547.44 crore, and ICICI Bank's market cap dropped by Rs 6,513.34 crore to Rs 10,18,982.35 crore.

TCS's market capitalization fell by Rs 4,558.79 crore to Rs 10,93,349.87 crore, while Hindustan Unilever's valuation dipped by Rs 3,630.12 crore to Rs 5,83,391.76 crore.

Reliance Industries continues to hold the title of the most valuable firm, followed by HDFC Bank, TCS, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Infosys, Hindustan Unilever, LIC, and Bajaj Finance.
