DU NCWEB Special Cut-off: After the completion of admissions for three cut-offs in the Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB) of Delhi University (DU), the special cut-off has been released on Monday. Only those students will get admission in this cut off who could not get admission in the first to third cut off for some reason.
Can take admission till 21st August
Students who have already been admitted to this cutoff cannot change the college center. Based on a special cut-off, admission can be taken from 19 to 21 August, while the fee can be paid till 23rd August. After three cut-offs in NCWEB, 9,500 out of 15,200 seats have been filled. In this way, 5,700 seats are still vacant. This cut-off has been released to fill them.
There is still a chance in B.Com.
There is still a chance in the B.Com program even after three cut-offs in NCWEB. Right now, only four college centres (Hansraj, Maitreyi, Rajdhani, Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce) have closed admissions for the general category. Miranda House has released an 82% cut-off, whereas the lowest cut-off for this course has been released by Sister Nivedita at 45%. Deen Dayal Upadhyay College has released a 62% cut-off. Keshav Mahavidyalaya has released a 55% cut-off. There are high chances of admission for OBC, SC, ST, EWS, and PWD category students in this program.
The fourth cut-off will be released on 25th August.
After the special cut-off, the fourth cut-off will be released on 25th August and the fifth cut-off on 1st September. After this, students who could not get admission from the first to fifth cut-off will get admission through special drive. Special drive will start on 8th September.
History-Political Science combination is quite a hit
NCWEB Director Prof. Geeta Bhatt said that the BA program History-Political Science combination is proving to be a big hit. Admissions in this have been closed at 13 out of 26 college centers. The lowest cut off for general category for admission in this course is 44 percent in Sister Nivedita College. Whereas, students with 45 percent or more can get admission in Aditi Mahavidyalaya. Similarly, students with 70 percent in SPM, 64 percent or more in Mata Sanduri can get admission in the History-Politics combination program.
The cut off for SC category in colleges has been from 40 percent to 55 percent. It is different in different colleges, while there is still scope for admission in OBC category as well. The lowest cut off in ST category is 39 percent in Sister Nivedita College.
At the same time, admissions in BA Program Economics-Political Science Program have been closed in five college centers Maitreyi, DDU, Mata Sundari College, Hansraj and Miranda House. ST category admission will be at 37 percent in Aditi College while admission of this category will be at 40 percent in Sister Nivedita.
